The Strategic Planner Service Vans and Depots is a key resource in the Global Supply Planning Spare Parts organization, responsible for regular updates of inventory control parameters and providing return and scrap suggestions related to the central concept for inventory control of service technicians’ vans and other (decentralized) stock with the main goal to optimize spare parts availability, inventory value and logistical costs. The execution of analytics as well as the routine, coordination and collaboration with several sales and service units EMEA, are key elements of this function.

Key responsibilities

Maintaining the globally rolled out concept

  • Plan and execute van and service depot stock control concept according to an agreed schedule
  • Perform regular analysis and execute the established concept on inventory control for planning parameters, redistribution of service spare parts and returns
  • Maintaining relevant master data within the assigned area


Facilitating in inventory optimization efforts

  • Lead in training and support relevant parts of service organizations in processes related to the central concept for inventory control and optimization
  • Identify, suggest and implement improvement activities together with sales and service units and other relevant parts of the organization to continuously improve the central concept for inventory control of van and service depots
  • Design, update, analyse and report performance indicators related to the central concept for inventory control of van and service depots
  • Design and maintain reports for operational and strategic use, such as inventory analysis etc in MS PowerBI, MS Access, MS Excel or other suitable tools


Other

  • Assist Global Supply Planning team with relevant analysis and reporting tasks
  • Actively contribute to the department’s development in terms of processes and internal routines and participate and/or lead in relevant projects
  • Short and long term monitoring of performance indicators of assigned area, with related root-cause analysis and corrective actions if necessary
  • Actively participate in the implementation of the central concept for inventory control of van and service depots in new Sales and Service units
  • Assist with onboarding of new hires and training
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of work instructions and procedures to support the QMS


Quality System Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build Quality into all aspects of the work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.


Knowledge, skills & experience

  • Bachelor degree in the area of Logistics/Supply Chain Management/International Business Administration and/or +3 years’ experience from similar tasks in in equally complex environment
  • Experienced user of MS Excel (including power pivot and power query)
  • Knowledge of and specific experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ERP-systems (SAP preferred)
  • Knowledge of and specific experience in BI tools and data reporting tools
  • Strong command of written and fluently spoken English
  • Structured and analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail
  • Open minded and cooperative mindset and willingness to provide excellent International customer service
  • Ability to communicate and solve problems together with internal stakeholders globally
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple open issues and challenges
  • Flexible mindset and excellent ability to function in a developing organization
  • Strong decision-making skills
