The application engineer is responsible for the technical implementation of new products in the software tools which are used in the offering phase in the Stow organization. He/she works closely together with the R&D and engineering department to integrate new developments inside the calculation tools. He is the key contact person to provide technical support for the application.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Resolve problems and remarks on the existing product configurators
- Keep existing product configurators up to date and in line with the final product status
- Maintain product master data together with Master Data team
- Analyze the existing product configurators to improve on their functionality
- Coordinate technical changes in product configurators
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering department to identify new product needs
- Develop new product configurators together with 3rd party developers
- Implement new product ranges within existing tools & processes
- Provide support and act as a technical advisor to all departments
- Give trainings towards end users
Qualifications
Education
- Master degree in Engineering Mechanics – or equal by experience
Experience – IT skills
- Experience with application management or maintenance is a must
- Great affinity for IT solutions
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge about SQL server and program coding in C# is a plus
Personal skills
- Dynamic personality, stress resistant, good communicator
- Must be able to analyze problems objectively
- Can work in team and stand alone
- Takes responsibilities, can work accurately
Languages
- Must : English
- Dutch, French, German is a plus
